Beauty lies in the hands of the owner
For most of us, aging is something that happens to us minute by minute,
day by day and year by year. We seem to treat it as an inevitable part of
life over which we have limited control. The medical community's approach
has been on treating diseases - some of which are seen as the 'big killers',
such as heart disease and cancer. However, these diseases only explain some
of the effects on our lifespan. The bottom line is you have to lower your
risk for all diseases to live a long and healthy life.
We often refer to someone who is healthy (or beautiful) as having 'good
genes'. We see these things as determined by our parents and that we have
very little influence over them. There are certainly some traits that are
difficult to overcome (such as height), but it is a myth to believe that
every inherited trait you get (such as a predisposition to gaining weight)
puts you at risk. However, ignoring this situation, or not accepting the
fact that you need to watch what you eat and exercise does put you at risk.
The fact is that there is one person in charge of your body - you. You can
be an absent landlord if you want, but don't expect the 'building' to be
in a livable condition when you get back. Neglect is neglect - whether it's
your body or a building. And with neglect comes decay.
Although Beaucell offers stem cell treatment that literally gives you new
tissue for your body, health and beauty can only be attained when you make
good decisions for your body. Smoking and excessive alcohol intake are,
without a doubt, the enemies of staying young. Also, stress, inactivity
and a poor diet will add more years to your body than time could ever manage.
